What it does
A low-ethoxylation (7 EO units) polyethylene glycol ether of hydrogenated castor oil used as a mild nonionic emulsifier and solubilizer, part of the same PEG-hydrogenated-castor-oil family already in the KB (PEG-6/10/20/40/45/50/60/100). As an surfactant ingredient, it is particularly valued for mild nonionic emulsifier that solubilizes oils and fragrances in water-based formulas.
Skin type guide
Generally well-tolerated across skin types. Patch testing is still recommended when introducing any new ingredient.
How to use it
Used as part of a cleanser, so placement is straightforward — it's your first step, applied to damp skin and rinsed off thoroughly. Avoid overwashing, which can disrupt the skin barrier.
