Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Extract
INCI: SALVIA SCLAREA EXTRACT
An aqueous, glycolic, or hydroglycolic extract of the whole herb of Salvia sclarea (clary sage), distinct from its essential oil (Salvia Sclarea Oil). The extract concentrates water-soluble polyphenols — especially rosmarinic acid, luteolin, and apigenin — while leaving behind the volatile terpene constituents (thujone, camphor) responsible for the oil's fragrance and safety restrictions. Used in K-beauty and European skincare for mild antioxidant and soothing benefits.
