What it does
A purified polysaccharide (xyloglucan) derived from tamarind seeds, used as a film-forming humectant; distinct from the coarser Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum already in the KB. As an humectant ingredient, it is particularly valued for forms a hydrating film on skin that improves moisture retention and provides a smooth, cushioned skin feel.
Skin type guide
Works across all skin types, but is especially beneficial for dry and dehydrated skin. Oily skin types also benefit — proper hydration helps regulate sebum production.
How to use it
Apply to slightly damp skin to maximise moisture retention — humectants work by drawing water to the skin, so they need a water source to pull from. Use early in your routine, before heavier creams or oils.
