What it does
An ethoxylated C13 fatty alcohol with 9 ethylene oxide units, used as a mild nonionic emulsifier and solubilizer in toners and light formulations; differs from Trideceth-6 and Trideceth-10 already in the KB by degree of ethoxylation. As an surfactant ingredient, it is particularly valued for solubilizes oils and fragrance in water-based formulas and mild nonionic emulsification.
How to use it
Used as part of a cleanser, so placement is straightforward — it's your first step, applied to damp skin and rinsed off thoroughly. Avoid overwashing, which can disrupt the skin barrier.
