Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Water is the hydrosol (aqueous steam-distillate) collected alongside lavender essential oil production. It contains trace water-soluble fragrant compounds (mainly linalool and its derivatives) but at concentrations far below the essential oil. Used in cosmetics as a mildly soothing, lightly fragranced water base for toners, cleansers, and sensitive-skin formulas. EU allergen regulations apply due to trace linalool content.

Lily Extract in cosmetics is typically derived from the flowers of Lilium species (especially Lilium candidum, the Madonna lily). The extract provides polysaccharides with humectant and soothing properties, flavonoids with mild antioxidant activity, and mucilaginous compounds associated with skin softening. Used in cleansing and conditioning formulas as a gentle botanical active for soothing and skin-brightening.
Extract from the root of Lithospermum officinale (common gromwell), a herb used in traditional East Asian medicine. Contains shikonin and related naphthoquinones with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Lycopodium Clavatum Extract is derived from the stag's horn clubmoss (Lycopodium clavatum), a primitive vascular plant. The extract contains lycopodine and related alkaloids, flavonoids (apigenin, luteolin), and phenolic acids. In cosmetics it is used as an antioxidant and skin-conditioning botanical at low concentrations. Distinct from the spore powder (Lycopodium Powder) sometimes used as a bulking agent.
