Quaternary ammonium compound — rare sensitivity possible at high concentrations
Emollient
Diethoxy Ethyl Succinate

Diethoxy Ethyl Succinate is an ester derived from succinic acid used as a skin-conditioning and emollient agent. It appears in Korean toner-pad formulations (notably Numbuzin) as a lightweight texture modifier. The compound provides a smooth, conditioned skin feel. Succinic acid and its derivatives have mild sebum-regulating and anti-inflammatory properties that may contribute additional benefit at active concentrations.

emollientskin-conditioninghumectant
A succinic acid-derived ester used as a lightweight skin conditioning and emollient agent in aqueous formulations; contributes to smooth skin feel without greasinessMay function as a sensory modifier in toner-pad formulations, improving the slip and after-feel of the productSuccinic acid moiety has been shown to have mild anti-inflammatory and sebum-regulation properties at higher concentrations; the ester form provides these benefits while improving formulation compatibility
