Water derived from peat bogs, containing dissolved humic acids, trace minerals, and plant-derived compounds used as a skin-conditioning vehicle in premium cosmetic formulations.
A non-volatile extract obtained from the aerial parts of Pelargonium graveolens (geranium), distinct from the steam-distilled Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil; retains water-soluble bioactives such as polyphenols and tannins providing astringent, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory benefits with a reduced fragrance-allergen profile.
An essential oil steam-distilled from Pelargonium graveolens flowers (rose geranium), used in cosmetics primarily for its sweet, floral fragrance; a regulated EU fragrance allergen.
An extract from Pelvetia canaliculata (channelled wrack), a brown marine alga containing fucoidans, alginates, and polyphenols that provide humectant, antioxidant, and skin-conditioning benefits.
Pentaerythrityl Distearate is a diester of pentaerythritol (a polyol with 4 hydroxyl groups) and stearic acid (C18), with two of the four hydroxyl positions esterified. It is a semi-solid to waxy emollient used in rich creams and emulsions to add body, improve texture, and provide a creamy skin feel. The pentaerythrityl core provides structural rigidity while the two stearate chains contribute emollient and emulsifying properties.
A hindered phenol antioxidant (Irganox 1010) used at very low concentrations to protect oils and fats in cosmetic formulas from oxidative degradation.
A synthetic ester of pentaerythritol and 2-ethylhexanoic acid that provides a light, dry-touch emollient feel in creams and moisturizers.
A tetraester of pentaerythritol and isostearic acid used as a rich, highly stable emollient in prestige face creams and serums.
A synthetic pentapeptide (Gly-Pro-Arg-Pro-Ala-NH2) modeled on waglerin-1 neurotoxin that acts as an acetylcholine receptor antagonist, reducing facial muscle contraction to soften dynamic wrinkles.
A pentasodium salt of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) used as a chelating agent to bind trace metal ions and stabilize cosmetic formulas.
A multifunctional glycol that hydrates and supports preservation.
A synthetic acrylic copolymer incorporating pentylene glycol and glyceryl moieties used as a film-former and texture agent to improve skin feel and moisture retention.
An extract from perilla (shiso) leaves in the mint family, rich in rosmarinic acid and flavonoids, used in K-beauty for antioxidant and soothing benefits.
Oil from the leaves and stems of Perilla ocymoides (perilla / shiso), a culinary herb widely used in Japanese cuisine. Contains rosmarinic acid and alpha-linolenic acid. Used in DAMDAM's moisturizer for its characteristic Japanese herbal fragrance and antioxidant properties.
An extract from the seeds of Perilla ocymoides (perilla/shiso) rich in alpha-linolenic acid derivatives and antioxidant polyphenols, used for soothing and skin-conditioning benefits.
Perlite is an amorphous volcanic glass mineral processed into a fine powder used in cosmetics primarily as an absorbent and bulking agent to improve texture and control shine.
The unsaponifiable fraction of avocado oil, rich in phytosterols, tocopherols, and squalene, which supports collagen synthesis and skin barrier integrity.
Extract from the fruit of Persea gratissima (avocado). Rich in fatty acids, vitamins, and sterols with emollient and antioxidant properties. Distinct from avocado oil in that it is an aqueous or hydroglycolic extract retaining water-soluble bioactives.
Avocado oil, a rich emollient high in fatty acids and vitamins.
Petrolatum is a purified semi-solid mixture of hydrocarbons derived from petroleum, widely used as an occlusive emollient to lock in moisture and protect the skin barrier.
A hydrocarbon-based tackifier resin derived from C5 and/or C9 petroleum cracker streams, used in pressure-sensitive adhesive patch formulations to provide tack and cohesion.
Finely ground powder from the seeds of Phaseolus angularis (adzuki bean), used as a gentle physical exfoliant and absorbent in wash-off cleansers and masks.
A generic extract from Phaseolus radiatus (mung bean) plant material (unspecified part), used in cosmetics for antioxidant and skin-conditioning properties.
An extract derived from the seeds of Phaseolus radiatus (mung bean), used in cosmetics for its antioxidant and skin conditioning properties.
